The ORBC is pleased to announce that a new tool has been added to our online services  – the Caneberry Data Sheets. These sheets will allow growers and processors to print out information on five different berries – black raspberry, Boysenberry, Evergreen blackberry, Marionberry and red raspberry. They are available in two forms, one especially for consumers and the other a more technical form. The consumer sheet features a photo of each berry, important facts about the berry, health benefits, nutritional information and a recipe using the berry. The technical data sheet contains all of the previous information but eliminates the recipe. It also includes a more in depth nutrition analysis along with a list of the chemical properties of the berry, such as pH, sugars and titratable acids. Two additional data sheets are included in the package; the first, entitled “Health Benefits 101” defines terms used in discussing caneberries and health. The second, “Caneberry Seed Oil Data”, gives an overview of the latest research on caneberry seed oil. The caneberry data sheets are attractively formatted and offer the user a simple but effective way to print out informational material for customers, potential buyers and those interested in manufacturing products with caneberries.
