Uptown Billiards Club, established in 1994, is not only Portland’s most upscale billiards room, but for the last 5 months in a row, it has been voted “Best Food” in all of Portland by the 112,000 users of OpenTable.com’s reservation system.
Every few weeks, Uptown Billiards offers a new five-course, wine-paired tasting menu built upon a single theme. When seasonally possible, this theme revolves around local and organic produce. The cost of the menu is $39 plus gratuity, $25 for those not enjoying the paired 2oz pours of paired wines.
Chef Nathan Bates started his career in San Francisco’s famed “Fifth Floor” where he helped prepare Julia Child’s 90th birthday dinner made famous in the film “Julie and Julia.” After returning to Portland and running the kitchen for the chef/owner of Lucy’s Table for 5 years, he came to Uptown Billiards in 2009 where he enjoys absolute creative freedom.
